The Origin Of CONCRÉ
CONCRÉ Began In 2023 With A Simple, Unresolved Question:
Why Are The Most Visited Spaces In Our Lives Treated As An Afterthought?
While Working On An Interior Project, The Founder Found Himself Searching For A Bathroom Piece That Was Both Designed And Durable. What He Found Instead Was A Market Divided In Two — Products That Were Manufactured Without Thought, And Products That Were Designed Without The Ability To Last. Surfaces Scratched. Colors Faded. Function Failed.
Yet Bathrooms And Kitchens Are The Spaces We Return To Every Day.
They Shape Our Routines, Our Quiet Moments, And Our Sense Of Comfort.
They Deserve More Than Temporary Solutions.
This Question Led To Research Beyond Conventional Materials.
To UHPC — A Material Engineered For Extreme Loads, Used In Bridges, Towers, And Long-Span Structures Where Failure Is Not An Option. But It Had Never Been refined For Architectural Objects That Touch The Human Body Every Day.
CONCRÉ Was Formed Around That Gap.
For Two Years, A Dedicated Research And Development Process Took Place — Testing, Failing, Reformulating, And Testing Again — Until The Material Was Transformed Into Something New: Strong, Water-Resistant, Stable Over Time, Yet Capable Of Carrying Texture, Depth, And Surface Soul.
At The Same Time, Design Took Shape.
Forms Guided By Organic Geometry.
Quiet Proportions.
Timeless Presence.
Every Design Begins With Human Imagination, Then Is Interpreted Through Artificial Intelligence, And Finally Refined By Architects Into Fully Functional Objects. Technology Is Not Used To Replace Thought — But To Expand It.
Before Entering Production, A Limited Number Of Early Pieces Were Shared Privately With Architects, Designers, And Industry Peers. The Response Was Immediate And Unanticipated. Interest Formed Quickly. Conversations Turned Into Commitments. Demand Emerged Before CONCRÈ Officially Existed In The Market.
That Moment Confirmed What Research Had Suggested —
There Was A Need For Objects That Were Neither Decorative Nor Disposable.
In April 2025, CONCRÉ Entered Production With Its First Collection Of Washbasins. More Will Follow — Panels, Tiles, Sculptural Objects, Furniture, And Architectural Elements — All Built On The Same Principle.
CONCRÉ Does Not Create Decorative Products.
It Creates Objects Meant To Be Used, Lived With, And Kept.
Founded By Egyptian Architects Ahmed Tarek And Mahmoud Hussein,
CONCRÉ Exists To Bring Discipline Back To Design,
And Meaning Back To The Everyday.
Art In Every Piece.
